Entire tiered cakes can be made from Styrofoam if you wish. Dummy tiers allow you to have bigger more spectacular looking cakes without having to waste the extra amount of cake. However due the amount of materials and time spent decorating these cakes, the price difference is minimal.

Should I use fresh or sugar flowers on my cake?”

It all comes down to personal preference and budget. As sugar flowers are very time consuming to make they can be quite expensive, although some cakes require them to achieve a particular look. Fresh flowers maintain a constant theme throughout your event and I am happy to work with your florist in arranging them for your cake prior to the event. Silk flowers are also a great substitute and if they are of a high quality, I am more than happy to place them on your cake.

What if I want to make any alterations and changes to my order?”

Design changes are possible however they are subject to viability. Changes most probably will incur a fee and will be added to your remaining balance. No major changes can be made to your overall design 1 month prior to the event. Date changes are subject to availability. Any updates and corrections to your order must be provided in writing or via email.

Payment can be made by direct deposit, money order, cash or cheque. (No EFTPOS or credit card facilities available).

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations within 12 weeks of the event forfeit the deposit paid. If a cancellation is made during the week of the event, the balance is due in full. All requests for cancellations must be made in writing.

How do I care for my cake?

Once you have picked up your cake it mustn’t be put into the refrigerator as they can sweat and the colours may run. It is best to keep the cake in a cool spot away from heat and direct sunlight. (Air-conditioning is best.) You can refrigerate or freeze the cakes once they have been cut to preserve them. If you would like to keep any decorations such as figurines and sugar flowers, store them in a container preferably with some anti moisture crystals.
